    Cloth Diaper Question

    I have a FCC who wears cloth & not the all in ones. I have to fold the diapers myself. Tpday child came with a bagl of unfolded diapers but no absorbent cloth liners which the mom normally sends enough for 4-5 changes. This child will be soaking through her diapers quick today. Wwyd??

      I don't see these as any different than disposables as far as policy. What would you do if she had only left you with one or two disposables?

      I would call her and have her come pick up the child/or bring the proper items for you to do your job.

          She really has three options.

          1. Bring you the liners.

          2. Pick up the child.

          3. Pay you an inconvenience fee for putting disposable diapers on her child.

          I understand the importance of those liners. I cloth diaper the diapered Preschoolers in my care and without one they will leak through in a snap!

            I offer cloth diaper services here as well, however, I still require that families bring me a supply of disposable diapers for just in case. Maybe this is something you could ask mom for to avoid situations such as this?

                Do you have maxi pads? They work really well as disposable soakers in disposable diapers too. That's what I do for my heavy wetter (who soaks through a diaper two hours after a change/during nap).

                  I was going to suggest paper towels.

                      You double diaper that is what we used to do at night. There were no liners in the 80's I did have a disposable liner that helped clean the poop out but is was as thin as a dryer sheet.

                      not sure if they have changed but single diaper with plastic pants was fine during the day with no leak through. Changed about the same I still do for disposables.before eating. before nap and after nap.
                      It:: will wait

                        So she only brought you the covers and no liners? Those will be worthless!

                        I would put a disposable on (I always have a few around) and tell her if it happens again the child will have to be picked up.

                        I had one family in cloth and I hated it! She always leaked, needed to be changed more often, and the dipaers reeked so bad.
