    I Love Ikea!

Went there this weekend and spent about $500 on new stuff for our playarea...the slide was $149, and the kitchen was $99, but everything else (including the super cute coat rack) was $14.99 or less! Can't wait to go back and get the organizers & table/chair sets. I have decided to purchase their sniglar cribs as well for the infant area.

is the rug from there too? Can you give me the dimensions?? Our only ikea is pretty far from me - I have only been there twice and it was when I was decorating my DD's "tween" room so I didn't look at little kid stuff!

How much was the easel? The Ikea closest to me is minneapolis.......3 hrs away. That's doable.

The easel is 14.99!! I bought one this weekend too! We drove 4 hours to get to our closest one in Atlanta this weekend. We spent $250 But, we got so much!! We bought the easel, chalk, a roll of art paper, 2 sets of their art smocks, bibs, 2 packs of kids hangers, 2 sets of colorful hooks to go on the wall, a rocker, an amazing area rug for our living room that's huuuuge, their new line of plastic dishes(the perfect sizes for kiddo portions), a small wooden wagon to put blocks in, a wooden hammer and nail play kit, the small table and chairs, curtains for the playroom, boxes for filing, 2 power strips, and an 8 cubby cube shelf from their "Expedit" line to use with baskets for cubbies instead of traditional daycare cubbies. Sooo much stuff! I was super proud of myself. You can make a shopping list online and I stuck to mine almost perfectly. It's so easy to come out of there spending $500 like OP. I REALLY wanted the slide, but we just don't have the space right now. I would say the 3 hour trip is well worth all of the things you can get for so cheap there and I've never had an issue with quality.

Our Ikea is 3 hours away, so I was bummed to not be able to get anything because of the drive UNTIL I saw I could order the tables and chairs online!! I ordered the round and rectangular plastic tables, and matching stools and chairs. SO excited they will be here in a few days! I'll have to post pictures when I get them in! LOVE that Ikea is starting to ship more stuff!! happyface

I wish they would start shipping some of the smaller stuff, and their shipping prices were a bit more reasonable!

That said I lovethis IKEA! Ours is only about an hour and 20mins but I don't get up there that often. It's in a part of town we don't frequent but I try to talk my DH into it every time we're in PDX!

It seems like everything I wanted when I looked online was only available at the store. DO all stores stock the same items? I don't remember seeing that easel online but maybe I didn't notice it as I have a wooden easel.

I love their little rugs. I want the round one with the earth/farms. I'd like to get curtains for my center from Ikea also. I'd love the slide but I don't think it's in my budget right now and I'm not sure if I have room for it. Thanks for the pictures. Can't wait to get up to Minneapolis!
