Yay!!! Almost A Day Off....

I have 6 kids from 4 families. One family told me Thursday that Dad was off Friday and Monday (tomorrow), so there's 2 kids down. I just got a text that another girl was staying home with Dad (no school), and shortly after, another family with 2 kids called and said their boy is staying with Dad, and Grandma wants the girl and her cousins to all come to her house for the day.

So.... I am left with just a 2-yr old girl who takes a nice long 3 hour nap. We can spend part of the morning at my mom's, then have lunch and a nap, then maybe go to the library's kids area for an hour or so. Easy peasy!! From 6 down to 1. Yay!!!

I only have 1 DCK coming here today too. I'm a bit upset about it since Mom has the day off and she is still sending DCK. Happens all the time with this family, yes I get paid so I shouldn't be upset, but when she comes at pick-up and always tells me about all the relaxing things she does (spa visits, naps, movies etc) it bothers me.

Nice! I was supposed to have 2 today but they are out sick for the third day in a row. sorry they're sick but also...not complaining...unexpected day off ftw!

Apparently mountains will be taking a beating because I'm doing that too. I took care of Dish Mountain last night...now Laundry Mountain today. Maybe even "Take Down the Halloween Decorations" Mountain.

All mine were on time, if not a bit early. No one is out today although I have a feeling one might be going home if they pep up a bit.

School is in session here and my other families all have to work. The banks are closed and the two parents I have that work in a bank also brought their kids because one dad is going deer hunting today.

The other parent I have who works in a bank is a single mom who tries to work a second job any time the bank has a closure or gives her a day off.

No day off for me until next week.....but then......4 day weekend!!!

I am starting the countdown now!

All mine are here today. One family is coming late (dcm is off), 1 family on time, and 1 family (first of the day) apparently forgot to set the alarm and was late by 35 minutes, so I had a quiet beginning. Only the one dcm is off, everyone else works and school is in session. Enjoy your "easy" day!

I have a family like that too. The dad is constantly off, but kids still come. I was really surprised they didn't come today.

Update... to top it off, the lone 2 yr old that came today was picked up at 4:00. I usually work until 5:30, so I was off an hour and a half early!!!! happyface

She slept from noon till 3, so I just had her an hour in the afternoon. We were busy with going to my mom's and McDonald's during the morning, so I had a easy day!!! Unfortunately, it's back to reality tomorrow.
