Want to term RIGHT NOW but can't-never been so frustrated!!

DCM recently asked to start dropping off an hour early. I agreed and didn't even raise her rate. Since starting the new schedule Ihave been up an hour early ready to receive child at the agrred upon time but she rolls in anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes late. No texts or calls no aplogies or explanations. Last week she asked me to watch DCG an extra day on what is normally my day off. I agreed as a special favor to help her out and had to take DCG grocery shopping and to a couple appointments along with my own kids which was a lot of work. I also had an interview scheduled that evening so I had to prepare for it while watching her child. She picked up 45 minutes late and arrived right as my interview did. I was flustered and still finishing cleaning and it completely ruined the interview (haven't heard from that potential client since). To top it off I thought she had mistakenly written the check for that extra day incorrectly. When I asked her about it the next day she said "oh, I thought the fulltime rate was $X per day" She actually expected to pay my discounted fulltime rate because I did her a favor and watched DCG a 5th day that week. THE FREAKING NERVE OF THIS WOMAN!!!

The frosting on this **** cake is she had her mom drop DCG off an hour and a half late this morning after I rushed to be ready yet again this morning just for her. I am sooooo done with this woman and her flakiness and disrespect. I can't term until I hear from a potential new job hopefully next week. It's going to be a very long week and it's going to be very hard to keep my mouth shut when I do get to term her!

You need to just point it out for her. My hours are -to- I open early for you because you need those hours. I expect you to be on time or I will no longer be offering these services to you. Also, her name, because I open early for you I need to charge you a little more for this service. Your rate as of............date, is.......... Leave her no room to argue with you.

If she continues to be late, end the arrangement and tell her that your hours are........ to ........... and no early services are being offered anymore. She can decide what she needs to do at this point.

Don't let parents run your business. If your fair, you should have no problems and earn respect of clients that are going to value your services. You care for their most precious item-

I would sit down with her and let her know that if you are going to be opened earlier than usual just for her she is REQIURED to be there on time everyday no excuses. Otherwise it's not going to work out and you will have to go back to her original schedule.

Point out that her scheduled hours are what her fee's include. Any extra time that she needs on an occasional basis is charged at a higher rate because those are special services.

Of you don't sit down and at leats talk to her theres no chance that she will correct her behavior. If you do explain it to her and she continues to behave that way ... well then, that's another story. I think you should at least talk to her about these issues and see if things change.
