    Kid Couch?

I want to buy a kid sized couch/sofa combo (or maybe just one depending on price). Does anyone have a recommendation? I have a pretty nice reading area but it lacks furniture/seating. I tried crates with padded seats (moved to use as stools) and bean bags (fought over and thrown/used as pillows to fight).

    I was looking at this:

(with the chair to go with)

    or this...

I have concerns over size with the first one, and foam doesn't look very nice/sturdy concerns with the second one.

I really like the look of the Target one! Check out Wayfair also (online). We got our couch from them and love it! My main recommendation is to make sure that it is cleanable (removable cloth or wipe-able).

me personally I would buy the kids chairs from ikea (the poang chairs) they have removable covers and they are super comfy and all the dck's and my own children love them.

my worry about the couch is that if the kids pee or puke on them how would you clean them. And after a while would the foam unshape itself. and would your group be silly with the couch.

I took the expedite book shelf that ikea has and laid it on its side. all of the books go on the shelves and I attached a seat cushion on the top. It sits along the wall, so no one could move it if they tried...

          hope it worked...

I had the intention of doing this too but I ran out of room At least with the cushion you can take it off and buy a new one

There's a provider in the Decor group who had a super cute child sized sectional. I don't know the measurements but I remember when I asked her about it the price was really good.
As far as the Target one I would be afraid of the microsuede material. I had a couch made out of it and every booger or drool showed up on it. It didn't stain but would look so nasty when I had a drooler. It was hard to clean because if you didn't do it just right it would cause a larger spot.
I have a tunnel/climber made out of the same material and probably similar foam as the second couch. I've had it for 8 years and it still looks like new. I was surprised that the seams didn't rip but it has held up nicely. I guess with this it would depend on the quality.
If I were you I would just buy some material and make some large pillows or maybe one huge pillow. I have a hard plastic couch and chair from Kaplan and the kids rarely use it. I also have a soft chair and it is rarely used the big pillow gets a lot of use though. If you make it big enough (and maybe fill it with rocks : the kids probably won't throw it. You could also attach it to the wall with a strap.

I don't have an Ikea in a 6 hour radius from me and their shipping is exorbitant!

I will keep looking, I want something super comfy and loungeish.

Was it me? Here is my couch (found on Wayfair):

Unfortunately, I see it's no longer available. However, they do have several others......

I've had my couch now for 8 months and I still love it just as much as I used to (probably more...I was a little wary of the size when I first got it in the mail)! All 6 kids can sit on it at the same time and it seems comfortable enough (I can't say for sure....my behind is too big haha). The best part is that I can can clean it soooo easily! All it takes is a Lysol wipe! Plus, all of the main pillows/cushions are attached to the couch with super strong velcro so nobody really messes with it.
