    Firsts

One of my mom's just texted me. "I saw Susie stand up and take two steps last night."

Yep, little Susie has been doing it for a week now. But, I'm not going to tell you that.

Yep isn't it amazing how often babies save their firsts for the parents?! It's crazy how rarely it ever happens at daycare...

I do the same thing Sharlan ::

I learned the hard way to just keep the child's first to myself. Nothing new ever happens in daycare *cough cough* for some reason the kids always do their first anything at home ... even my own son always made his first smile, made his first laugh, took his first step, said his first word, etc. in front of DH sometimes it's just easier to let them think that they have experienced the child's firsts rather than having them get hurt feelings at missing it.

I always just tell them that they need to watch the little one because I think they a really close to a first.

Yeah, firsts never happen here, even though they spend most of their waking hours with me.

I normally keep them hush, hush also, but I have one that decided he could pull himself up and while talking to dcm, she mentioned that she needs to move his crib mattress down soon. I kind of hinted that tonight might be a good night to do it if you don't want him tumbling out.

It's crazy how I never see any firsts here at daycare, they all seem to happen at home with mom and dad Which is just the way it should be!

I have one right on the edge of crawling. I'm devastated that I won't be able to see his first time. ::

THIS! Dcb started sitting solo, crawling, walking, talking and I noticed his first tooth here. He also went pee on the potty first, etc.

You would think that they would figure it out....
