I have a dcb who is 3 yrs old (just turned 3). He is otherwise an intelligent boy, he has always spoke very well, he is potty trained and he's a very easy going well adjusted boy. However, he can't seem to follow simple directions at times. For instance, you tell him to clean up the toys, he sits on the couch, you put him at his chair for lunch and he looks confused and walks around the table looking for a chair when ALL seats are taken, I give directions to color his activity sheet and he gets up and sits on the couch confused. I know he understands but I'm not sure why he's so "dense" at times. He likes to please me all the time, and always wants reassurance that he's being "good", I'll tell so and so, you're eating very well today and he always has to say, I'm eating good too, or if I tell someone you're doing a good job sharing today, he always has to say, I'm sharing good. This boy rarely gets in trouble, he's a good boy, and I always tell him he is.
