I am a new director at a new daycare in my town. I'm doing some interviewing next week, and was wondering of some good interview questions that you don't hear everyday. Any suggestions?

Are you interviewing prospective new parents, or new employees?

Hi, I'm a director too.... I always like to ask "what are your favorite activities to do with kids and why? Art? Building? Active outdoor games? Inside table activities?" I think the answers are always interesting and give insight into their work ethics. If course, I ask several different ways about reliability, desired hours, desired pay and previous daycare experiences. I don't think any interview is complete without asking "Why did you leave your last job?"
