For Family Home Daycare Providers - What Are Your Hours Of Operation?
Just out of curiosity I was wondering what hours everyone was open each day. I am open from 6:45am - 5:30pm and am considering changing that a bit. Trying to get a feeling for what the norm is. Thanks
I do contracted hours and have had great luck with it. This way I can take morning dcks and afternoon dcks. But I am losing one of my afternooners so I signed my odd up for activities. With that I decided I am open 8-5 although currently my last child leaves at 4.
I do contracted hours. My first arrival is never before 7:30am and my last pick up is never passed 5:00pm - except one day a week, I sometimes keep one child until 5:15pm as a favor to mom. When new families start I let them know that I'm on;y availabel between 7:30 and 5:00.
I used to have open/close hours from 6am-6pm... and I will never go back
I charge a weekly flat rate, so regardless if they are here 1 hour a week or 50 hrs per week, their weekly rate is the same, if they are a scheduled full timer.
I am open 7 am to 6 pm. I wish I could change my close time to 5:30, or even 5:00 but we live in a very small rural community, and most people work 30-45 minutes away. Oh, well.
No holidays, no weekend.
I do have an after hour care program, but so far no one has taken me up on it. I have 4 nights a month (no holidays, no weekends) on a first come, first serve basis set aside to provide care. It's an extra $11 dollars an hour, so that could be why no one has used it. I think I might just stop offering this.
contracted hours here too. But I will not work outside of 7:30-5:30. Been doing 7-6 but have phased that out. Would not go back to it unless totally desperate.
