Going to be a Long Day

We're scheduled to go to the pumpkin patch today...............

kid #1 - was throwing up all weekend (grandson so I have to keep), fine now
kid #2 - has a snotty nose and slight cough
kid #3 - has an ear infection, on antibiotics
kid #4 - sent home on Friday, threw up twice on Fri, fine now
kid #5 - school just called, upset tummy, sibling to #1 (granddaughter so dh has to go get her)

I don't care, we're going to the pumpkin patch, unless #5 throws up. I am going to try out my new triple stroller.

Ugh. I have a couple with ear infections on antibiotics too... everyone still has runny noses and mild coughs. I had one child out all last week and she was really upset when she got dropped off because she wanted to stay home with grandma, who is in town visiting/helping with family things. I have one who has suddenly decided to start the whole seperation anxiety from dad at drop offs even though she's been here for over a year. Oh Mondays.

Things have since settled here and is calm. Hope you can say the same!

It's obvious that both of my babies were held the entire weekend. My ears are about to bleed from all the crying.

I wish Dimetapp was still legal for toddlers. (NO I WILL NOT BE GIVING THEM ANY!) I've gone through 1/2 a tub of boogie wipes already this morning.

Things are progressing downhill rather rapidly. I am hoping an outing will improve everyone's attitude, especially mine at this point.

I used to give my kids dimetapp, their doctor said to give it to them to dry up all that phlegm so that they don't get ear infections!
I don't give it now either, they said it causes brain bleeds or something.

When they were that sick... constant running noses and that yucky smell that goes with it, it sure helped and it helped them get the much needed sleep.

I am one of the few that still uses Dimetapp, not on infants or toddlers, but I do still use it for my grandkids. I love that stuff. I found that it dried up the runny nose, but didn't make the kids hyper or lethargic. Sadly, some parents can't read and OD'd their kids.

I use it still for my own daughter. Muncex works great too..
