That was me yesterday!!!! After my vent earlier this week I'm getting very blessed. Everyone picked up early yesterday and then no parents minded me closing early on Halloween. It feels sooooo good!

Hmm, I never thought of closing early on Halloween. I'm only going to be handing out candy, but still I would rather have an extra hour off to do that then work. LOL. My last kids will be gone at 5:15 so that is when it gets busy but you know I'm going to shower and eat and it will be 5:45 so guess it just saves how much candy I need to hand out. I was done an hour early today which was VERY NICE!

I've always closed early on Halloween because in my early years, I would have kids and parents trying to make their way out the door and to the car while early Trick or Treaters were trying to get up the steps and to the door. The daycare parent traffic must have made it look like I was busy because I was giving out really good treats... ::

It just got too chaotic so in order to give parents a bit of extra time to feed their child before going out to collect candy, I started closing at 3 on Halloween. Worked awesome for everyone!

This year I just closed for the day. No kids of my own and no interest in the festivities. We get no trick or treaters where I live so don't have to decorate or buy candy. Simply plan on having a lazy day doing nothing!

My dad always said, "Prost" when he took a drink. I never knew until now what it meant. Thanks, Heidi!
