    Business Cards?

What info do you put on them?

What do you not put on them?

Mine have my business name, my name, my address, my web-site address and my contact number to the daycare.

Once I enroll a family, I give them my cell phone number and my home phone.

I know some people probably prefer NOT to put their addresses on them but I live in a pretty small community so it isn't hard for people to figure out where my daycare is at.

I also bought mine from Vista Print until I figured out I can make my own cheaper and easier.

Yeah I am making my own. So much cheaper! I just haven't decided if I want my phone number or my address on them yet.

Why not make two sets. One for advertisng and one for enrolled parents so they can tuck it in their wallets and reference it for contact info if needed?

I would definitely include my business address, email address and contact no, slogan to my business, social accounts and a picture and position of mine.

I know this is an older post, but I am making business cards right now and did them on Vistaprint, but when I came on here to get ideas, I saw that you make them. How do you do it? Do you get card stock or is there some type of pre-made cards like the wedding invites that you buy and print out yourself?

I have always had mine done by vista print because I only paid $5.00 for 500 business cards on a special that they were having. Basically they were free and I had to pay for the shipping. The print quality from Vista is pretty good, better than what I could create. I know some of you ladies on here have some fancy equipment and can make some great stuff.......

I saw the free cards and I really like one of them, but the look of it doesn't scream childcare. It does look professional, but I did find a cute non gender colored one with a cute sun on it. Do you think it makes a difference if they are professional looking or childcare looking KWIM? I have no fancy equipment! Even if I did, I probably wouldn't know what to do with it...

I do mine through VistaPrint also and for me it's more cost effective to order them than rather than to print them myself but only because I prefer the business card paper stock which is slightly thicker than most print-at-home paper stock. I also have a small office size printer and cartridges for it run about $80 per color so I don't bother printing stuff at home in color. I also like the clean edge look to the professional printed ones vs the slightly perforated edge of the print at home ones but I'm sure that there are probably some out there that have clean edges.

I've seen some very nice business cards done at home by some FCC providers and some used state of the art programs like Photoshop and others used more simple business card software and they've come out looking great. I doubt the business card software is expensive. Maybe BC knows where to get the good business card paper.

If you live near a college they usually have photoshop installed in their library computers or in their multi-media classrooms and they are usually open to allow the public to use them. If this is an option you can try using that but you'd some help if you've never used it before.

Otherwise you can create your own business card from scratch on VistaPrint by uploading your own graphics. I designed my business cards using photoshop once and then just uploaded the finished product to make my cards but there is a fee for uploading graphics (one of the reasons I don't do it anymore).

Business name, my name, home phone number (not cell), city, state, zipcode and a little description.
If I get 5 stars this rating, I'll probably have some new ones made up.
I never put my exact address on, don't know why as it can be looked up, but I just don't feel comfortable.

Sorry, I am late getting to this.

I buy business cards from Target/Walmart. I believe they are Avery brand. http://www.bing.com/shopping/search?...FORM=HURE#x0y0

If you use Microsoft Word, they have a business card template and pre-loaded designs or the ability to upload your own photos and artwork.

It is simple to use and VERY easy.

The Avery brand cards I buy come in sheets like regular sized paper, but they are heavy like cardstock and you can get the peel off clean edged version or the tear apart kind.

                          Easy peasy.

The Avery web-site also offers free templates for a ton of different things. Definitey worth checking out since their templates are designed specifically for their business products. http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Tem...uicklinks-dpo#
