    What Are Your Thoughts?

I have a parent that uses this at home. Her daughter sleeps for hours at home but only cat naps here for 30 minutes at a time. Would you get this? I am legally unlicensed so it won't interfere with licensing requirements, but I am wondering if this could help out this little girl so I can actually put her down!

My thoughts are that it is a lot of money for something she won't use very long. By the time you blink twice, she is going to outgrow this and you are stuck with a $55 doll cradle. Have you tried swaddling her? It was the miracle solution for my sleepless dcb.

Could you find something similar to that one but used?
Perhaps DCM would be willing to take hers along for DCG to use at daycare during the day. It seems pretty portable to me.

I have tried swaddling her but it only works for a little bit. She is up again within 30 minutes. The only thing that really works is the swing, but I am NOT comfortable letting her sleep in the swing. So it's an endless battle of won't sleep/over tired infant... I might be able to have dcm bring hers to see if it makes a difference. I am going to scope out finding a used one. I'm sure someone has to have one somewhere

            Thanks ladies!!!

I love that thing and have used it often! I used it for my own DS from birth until he could sit up and fall out of it (and um yeah, he did! LOL MY FAULT. I KNEW he was probably going to fall out of it, and then, he did. Ooops, time with it was up!) I love it. It's so easy to fold up and take outside, move room to room, etc. Made my life so much easier because I could bring the tiny baby anywhere I needed him to be to stay warm or sleep.

Then I used it a ton when he outgrew it but I had a new 10week old baby that started using it. She also used it from 10weeks until she could sit up (I didn't let her ever fall out. :P) It's so much better than a PNP, takes up far less space and easy to move around wherever I'm at.

I highly recommend it. I'm pretty sure you can find it cheaper though, those things are massively popular right now. Target now carries them too.

And it really really helps for babies with acid reflux because they are sleeping on an incline rather than flat. Swaddle the baby and then lie him in the sleeper, amazing!

Thanks!!! I am sooo tempted to get one considering I have 3 infants (all at different times, mostly) so I'm sure I will get lots of use out of it. And if we have another one I would use it then too.... I checked craigslist, ebay, and facebook but so far nothing. About how many months was he before he fell out? My little dcg is about 14 weeks now. She's not rolling over yet...

I've never used it but I have 3 friends that swear by those!

I'd agree with the ideas to get one second hand!

I don't think I get the concept of these. They look just like the little bouncers (inclined seat and all) that used to vibrate that everyone used to have. What's the real difference?

Keep searching on craigslist and your local yardsale group on Facebook!

                        I would not use this.

It says it meets ASTM Materials Standards (because it is from china), but not for infant sleep.

It says specifically "for babies who need their heads elevated". There are many bad reviews about flattening of the head and tightening/constriction of the neck muscles.

It is also not available in stores. IDK, just does not seem a safe or logical risk for me, personally.

I'd say about 6 months? Basically, whenever baby can pull themselves up and out. You can't just roll over and fall out, it's my own fault, I knew he was far too mobile to still be in it, but it's where he napped BEST and I hated to give it up! :P I love that thing, I feel all nostalgic talking about it! I dragged it around from room to room and outside constantly. And the lightweight padding feels SO nice makes me want to sleep in it too!

If I were you and I could afford it, I would buy it yesterday.

                              I have this one. http://www.target.com/p/fisher-price...ot=medium_1_15

I bought it from Target. I use it when baby is awake though and I am unable or unwilling to hold baby at the moment.

The baby does NOT sleep in it as my state has some pretty strict infant sleep guidelines but I do know mom uses the same one at home for baby to sleep in.

It does NOT help the one baby I have who throws up/spits up CONSTANTLY.

It is handy though as I have used it outside for baby rather than just holding.

It says it is easy to use with one hand though, which is a complete lie You need to use both hands to push both buttons to fold or unfold it.

It doesn't vibrate or play music or even take batteries at all. I do appreciate the 3 point safety straps and the fact that the fabric cushion unvel-cros for easy washing.
