    Need letter...

Help need letter to send home today. I am ticked off so I need a perspective from someone who is thinking clearly

    Issue:

DCK was brought sick enough to have parents make an appointment to go to doctor. (Like I said n previous post: I should've turned him away at the door).

Doctor appointment is at 2- so they will be picking up during my nap time which is a big policy violation. (So much for my "break" today. This is the 2nd time they have done this (this week alone).

I want a doctor note clearing him to come back.

    TIA

I'd just send a quick email/text letting them know that the child needs to be picked up before naptime today and that you need a doctors return to work/school/care form "for your files". (they should remember them from school and see it as normal)

Keep it like it is no big deal. You do it all the time. If you act like it is something big, they may react big.

It will also set a precedent for future naptime pick-ups.

    "Hey Mary,

I am glad they got *** in so quick. That is awesome! I will have him/her dressed and ready at 12:50 for pickup, we will just need to make it quick since I need to get the rest down for nap.

Also, I will need one of those return to school forms for my files. They don't charge for them and I am sure they are used to giving them out by the hundreds this time of year, .

    See you in a few!

After years of telling them why it bothered me, what all I had to do, how it effected the group and blah, blah blah... it occured to me that my own words were the ammunition they were using to fight me on everything.

So now I stick with what I need from them and by what time/date.

The rest is noise that detracts from my goal, anyway

I add niceties to make it flow like conversation, but skip anything to do with feelings about how they effect me.
