    Does This Sound Odd?

I have a hard group but every day they all tell me how much they love me-lovethis There are days I wonder about keeping going but in the end I know its worth it.

I have a few who just love it here and one that would spend the night probably in a heart beat. Always tell parents how much they love me, want to stay, how much fun its here, etc.

One of them I see quite often at events after hours/weekends. We have seen the old provider a few times at these events also. The child told the old provider how much fun its here, how much they love me, they want to be with me etc. Old provider asked child if they would like to do something some weekend with them. I guess child said "No", I want to go with ******** (me). The parent told me all this. I hadn't even asked child to do anything.

Well this weekend I was with the child at an event (ran into the family) and my child wanted dck to be with us. No problem, parents were fine, I was fine off we went. We ran into old provider and talked, then went on our way. Today the child was telling me that they went and did things with old provider over the weekend. Parents confirmed and then went to work.

I don't care if the child does stuff with old provider but I get this real weird feeling that there is a little competition going on (on their part) with doing things with this child. It just seems to be really lately this has been going on also as I have had the child 2 years but seems to only happen when old provider sees me with child.

    Odd or not?

I wouldn't even think twice about any of this. The child loves you, loves spending time at your house and with you... nothing else matters lovethis

Forget about the old provider, and ignore comments fromt he child/parents about the old provider if it bothers you. It's a positive thing that two of this child's providers like spending time with him outside of daycare hours!

      I totally agree.
      Just ignore it.
It does sound like old provider is trying to get them back, but it doesn't really matter. They choose you!

Weird but not worth another second of your time.
