Stood Up For Myself Again ?!? Im On A Roll!

After yesterday with the whole episode of dcm going behind my back without letting me know she was going to switch service, then asking me to work till 8pm..then once I told her that I would not and that I would miss her dd and best of luck..To my surprise she had someone be able to pick her up.

Now today she comes like nothing wrong, then ask if dcd can pick her up at 6. I said thats fine, cause I close at 6 but that there is a $5 charge per hour after 9 hrs. @6 she would be here for 9 hrs and 10mins..So yes I am going to charge them the $5 if she is here till 6..I am getting sick of being stepped on, and Im tired of watching kids for "free" it seems like. So now the wait to see if she is here till 6 or not !!

I just also added on for the first time fees for over 9.5 hours of care....Are you ready for this....I am going to make this month an additional $572.00. YUP I was letting that go every single month. I finally got tired of working here from open to close. It's a very long day as it is for me, let alone their child and and doing it for free got old quick.

and BTW, I would charge a lot more than $5 an hour for time outside of your contracted hours.

I charge $1.50 per 15 minutes after 5:00. It definitely helps to make the longer day more "worth it" but when these late kiddos age out, I won't be getting any new ones. I'd like them to all be gone at 5.
