I get calls in waves. I was getting several calls a few weeks ago & only 1 call this week. Most need CRAZY hours and "tell" me they cannot afford $125 per week.

Infant care is extremely hard to find in my area and that is what most of the calls are for.
That might be your ticket then to change your holding policy. If you have the space and it is open, the preganant mom should have to pay for it or lose it. Simple as that.

I would also consider changing to cahrging everyone the same way, regardless of the job they have or replacing you teacher families with regular families. Like Catherder said, it isn't like the teachers are starving and scrimping and saving all summer just to survive so why should you?

She will not bring the current dcg while she is on leave. They live a good 30 minutes from me and she will keep her home.

So yes, 1/2 rate to hold both spaces

I have a dcm that just told me she is pregnant. She will have her son come about 1/2 the time during her maternity. I'm charging her full rate for him no matter if he comes or not. I'm not charging for the baby though until it comes. You are getting 1/2 for each which is the equivalent to what I'm getting.

I will really be surprised if DCM wants to bring DCG, but then again nothing surprises me.

I think its fair to allow her to come 1-2 days if she is paying 1/2 rate, anymore I would charge her full rate for the current DCG.
