    Pep Talk Please :-)

I know only I can know what I'm capable and comfortable with but at least I need someone to root me on. :-)

This fall, I will have two 3 year olds, an 8 year old, a 6 month old, and then a newborn starting in January. Can I do it? I know it may seem like not much to many of you seasoned providers but having two babies is a huge feat for me. The only reason why I'm considering this is because by the time the newborn starts, the 6 month old will be almost a year.

So, can I do it? Would you do it?

I'm also thinking about the NEXT fall when both of the 3 year olds will be leaving to start preschool.

    Yes you can

The best way to know if you can is to try! I think that you can do it if you go in prepared! Just have a plan and you'll be alright!

I'm going through this right now. I just took on an infant she is almost 4 mo old. the other children's ages are 2- 4 1/2, 1- 5 1/2, 1- 3 yr old. then next month I will be starting an 8 mo old. I'll have to say that it WILL be an adjustment, I'm hoping I made the right choice, my 2 4 1/2 yr olds I had them both when they were aroun 6-7 mo (cant remember exactly) so I've done it before but man today, I'm second guessing my decision, I know I'm not going to know in one day and I know it's going to take time for both of us to adjust and for me to get a schedule with the kids. My biggest thing so far today is every time I tell the kids I'm going to go lay the baby down, in 1 minute I have someone yelling my name grrrrr. It will be an adjustment.

You can do it...and you can enjoy it!!!! Just keep yourself as organized as possible, plan ahead, get your routine down, and DO NOT place too many expectaions on yourself!

Well I found out later yesterday that the 6 month old would only be 2 days a week so I'm all gung ho now. The newborn will be 5 days so Thursday and Friday should be fun. :-) Thanks! It helps to hear it from all of you.

This isn't a reason why I'm doing it but it will definitely be a nice benefit. :-) My hubby's work is super slow in the winter so it will be nice. Plus the 6 month old's mom is a teacher so she'll be off for the summer when my hubby's work is at an all time high. (Harley mechanic)

What I find hard with having two babies and what I was nervous about with having two babies was OUTSIDE! What do I do with two babies outside, where do I put them, how do I keep up with both! Inside time is a sinch, walks are a sinch! You are starting them in the Fall, not sure where you live, but winter is soon behind meaning alot of inside time for me who lives in MN, in which is not a problem at all! Be confident, you can do it!! No matter what you are going to have "those days" we all do, but if you think you can do it, you want to do it you WILL do it!! Good Luck and have fun with it! The newborn will sleep alot and the 1 year old will probably still take two naps, just be organized and the older kids will be a big help with the littles, they love to be helpers!! Good Luck!!
