    No "Help Wanted" Signs Available!

I am trying to hire an assistant. I did place an ad in craigslist, got some responses, but not many. I checked into advertising in the paper. $275 was the cheapest. So I sent my husband to the hardware store to buy a Help Wanted sign. We are a center in downtown, lots of foot and vehicle traffic, so a sign seemed like a good idea. None available. Not at that hardware store, or Staples, or Walmart, or ANYWHERE! If they were out of stock, I would be pretty happy, means places are hiring. Nope. They just dont carry them. A sign company will custom make one...for $30! With the unemployment rate so high, you'd think the papers would make advertising cheaper. You'd think stores would carry the signs. Dumb. Just dumb! Vent over.

Can't you just print one off your computer?

Boy, if that's not a sign of the state of our economy, well, uh ...

But, absolutely print something off and have it enlarged at Kinkos, Staples, etc. They will even laminate it for you. More work, but serves the purpose in the end!

Definitely print one. Silly to spend $30 and wait for it to be shipped.

The Lowes website shows that they have them in stock here for about a buck. I'll slip over there in the next day or so and see if they actually do if you'd like?

I think lawn signs are free on vistaprint right now. It would be about $5.00 for shipping. That would definitely be durable and last a long time.

Lowes didn't have them down here, at least the guy who "checked" said so. I will try visiting vistaprint again, that's a good idea! I checked them for real estate signs before, but it's been a while. I really need one that can hang from my sign....the search continues.
