    Dear Parents

If planning on picking up your child earlier than your scheduled time, please arrive with enough time to get them dressed and ready to go as I have a pretty tightly scheduled day and don't always have time to prepare children for any early departures.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    How about something like that?

When we had our first born in a daycare center they charged us for a full week even if she was there only three or four days out of the week. I had a day off from work at the time for a while so i would just keep her home with me. Guess i was always meant to be a stay at home dad

This happened to me last friday too! DCM said parent would be there between 10-11, and DCD showed up at 1:30. I was the one who had an appointment, but I had gotten excited about a potential 10 am pick up time because he was my only dck and I had family in town, so I wanted to grab lunch with them.

It's just rude. If you arent going to be there when you say you will, why even bother saying anything at all

I too hate this. I also hate how the parents act like they are gifting you something. Like we owe them then.

Yesterday I had two "early pick ups".

One dck supposed to pick up at 3:30 said they would be there at 3, then texted 5 min before 3 to say it would be more like 3:15.

The other said 2:30 (during nap) for a dr apt. Acutally came at 2:45.

For this reason and a million other fake promises I tell them I will get them up and ready when they arrive. I leave the door locked, put kids things on and shove them out door. buh bye

I should add that I have once charged a parent for a late pickup after they said they would arrive by 4 and didnt. And I also got a text from the same someone who said they would pick up at 4 and then later texted to say it would be closer to 5:30. I texted back that after they left and said 4 pm I made a reservation for my kids at the gym and they would need to be there at 4. Guess what they were.

I had a parent call last week from outside saying he was here to pick up his children early (during naptime). I said, "Oh that is wonderful! They will be up from their nap in x minutes! See you then!"

If you're going to schedule an appointment that requires them to be up before nap time is over with, they need to be at home with their parents waiting. I don't play that. It is way too disruptive to everyone.

I did that once recently to another family who texted to pick up early. I said no early pick ups. I told her when she could be picked up which was right after nap, their usual pick up time.

The only reason I allowed a pick up during nap yesterday was b/c this kid is sick, needs to be seen by a doc and I totally understand the bs of getting a doc appt in this backwards med town. Plus said kiddo doesnt nap that long anyway. She usually rolls around the pnp for the last part of nap.

Talk about frustrating! I got a false early pick up notice yesterday too. Technically they did pick her up early, but they did so 1.5 hours after they said they would.
