I have a Kindergartener who is smothering me. I can't turn around without him being right there in my face (I say in my face, not underfoot, because he's very big for his age too). He says my name about 100 zillion times a day, he just has to comment on every single thing and talk to me incessantly. And not just talk, but he wants a response, "Right Miss _____? Right?" He wants to help with every single thing, which is nice but excessive. He wants to carry babies and wipe their noses and cuddle them. He exhausts me and makes my ears bleed!!!
I have given him SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much attention but I can't keep it up anymore. He's been with me a few months now. I'm not terming him, he's really a terrific help. Guess I'm just venting.
Are some kids just more attention seeking than others? Does overly clingy always mean that he's not getting enough attention from parents at home or is that just stereotype?
What I would give for 30min. of silence!!!
