Before Meal Poem...

I would love to say a prayer before ALL meals and snacks but know all the families have their own beliefs. I asked the parents if the minded the poem below and they all agreed it was good. We have been saying it for weeks and the children love it and I love that we are giving thanks before we eat.


Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the friends we meet.
Thank you for the birds that sing.
We give thanks for everything.

Wow...that took me back! I'm over 50 and we used to say that at my grandmother's table when I was very little! I think it's a very appropriate poem for meal times.

i love it! I've been wanting to stay saying something like grace before meals for my own family, but all the ones i know are more on the religious side.
