    I Am Soooo Sick!!

I have the flu and haven't been able to eat in 2 days...my throat hurts so badly when I cough that I am seriously thinking about taking some serious pain medication to alleviate it!

It is days like these when being a DC provider is really tough. I do SA care so I hate to close since the dcks are only here in the am and then after school but I am not feeling it today...

I guess it will be movie and popcorn day!! That should keep them settled until DCPs arrive..I am in still in my slippers and jammies and plan to stay that way. I am going to cuddle up with my blanket in my chair and watch the movie right along with them this afternoon...

**hugs** to all the sick daycare workers, there is so much going around right now that I know many of you are feeling the same way as me today.

Have you been tested for Strep? When I get it, I feel like I've been hit by a Mack Truck. Feels like someone is slashing me from ear to ear when I swallow or cough. A good antibiotic works wonders. I hope you feel better soon.

Are you sure you don't have strep, I just got over a BAD case of it myself.

Flu= fever, runny nose, achiness, sore throat, vomitting&/or diarrhea.

Strep= severe sore throat, pain in the neck area from swollen lymph nodes, and fever. If you look at your throat with a flash light you may see white/yellowish patches and/or small blisters.

It's a good idea if you think you have strep to get on the RIGHT antibiotics and not go untreated ESP for children 5-10 as strep can do further damage to other areas of the body like the heart.

Thanks for that advice. I will call the medical clinic this evening.
