    How Would You Charge ...

I have a dcg that is full time..I charge $25/day that is up to 8 hours...Well Mom wrote me this morning wanting to know what time she could drop her off in the a.m. cause they want to start going to the gym !?! They both work late in the evening, a different family member picks her up everyday but 1 day a week when she is off.

So she that would put her being dropped off at 7:30 and picked up till 5 or 6 most days. I have down anything over 8 hours will be an $5/hr. charge..does that sound like enough, or too much ?

IMHO they need to spend that morning time with here, but what do I know right !

I think if you have it in your contract as $5/hr over 8 hours, then that is what it should be unless you redo your contract. Now, do you actually have to extend their hours-that is up to you. Is it worth another $10-15 per day to have her there the extended time??? I charge $5 per half an hour if ok'ed by me ahead of time to go outside of their contracted time. To me, $5 an hour isn't enough, but that is me. I like my time after when it's just me and mine.

In other words, are there other kids there at that time? Or are you going to be open just for her?
Either way it sounds like $5/hr is the rate you have listed, so go with that. You just need to decide if you want to do it.
