I Guess This Is All Part Of The Process

Had some calls and interview lately. out of all of them only one family sign up. However this family paper work is delaying big time. she has subsidy so I do not want to take her child until all paper work has been process or until i talk to her case manager. I gave her the paperwork on friday and This lady suppose to give me back the paper work on monday and my contact info to her case manager(cm) so that her cm can contact me. Monday rolled around nothing. I called her on tuesday and she explained to me how she have some issues with the paper work and that she wasn't able to give my info to her case worker yet due to her being busy and in school at the moment or whatever the reason was. I offer to help her do the paper work as long as the case worker contact me and go over the details first. She asked me if I can call the worker for her but did not give me the number...so how the heck can i call? I told her when she gets home from school just call her worker and giver her my info and call me and give me her worker info and number and then I will set up a time for her to come and do the paperwork with me. Wednesday rolled around, nothing. no idea if I should continue to call this lady. She need child care and yet she so lax about paper work. Well, I'm not keeping my hopes on her I am still looking for families to fill the spots and if someone decide to sign up I am not saving any spots for her since nothing is set in stone anyway but it is still bothersome. Thought I finally get a sign up but no0oo... And then after that all these people calls but they either do not call back or flake on their meeting with me. I have a family I really liked too bad they only want part time but they haven't call me back for a week since our meeting. I'm guessing they found someone else or something. I really do want to follow up with them but do not know how to approach it. Have any of you ever follow up on your potential client? if so how do you approach it. And for that subsidy family, do you think I should give her another call today for one last chance? sigh feeling so down right now. Do not know what to do anymore.

I always get an email and phone number during the interview. I tell them during the interview that I am meeting with other families and that I would like to have some time to think about it and for them to do the same. I invite them to email me any further questions or concerns they may have.

After the interview, I always send them a nice little email thanking them for their time and thank them for looking into my program. I can share some of this with you and you can use whatever you would like from it.

Also, don't chase the mom on subsidy. She sounds really flaky and I see a lot of red flags all over the place with her. You will thank yourself for dodging that bullet...

That's cute, simple, and sweet. I would love to see some of your responses to your client if you do not mind. I do have her email and number. It just didn't cross my mind to email her which I should. Thank you for that. thank you thank you. Honestly, her son is super cute! he's 18 months but he is bigger than my 2 year old! cubby babies are cute to me haha.
