How To Get Infants To Sleep With Preschoolers Around

okay I must be doing something wrong. BUt I have an infant today that is so exhausted but every stinking time she falls asleep someone yells and wakes her up. She is so cranky and tired but I don't know how to get her to sleep with other kids running around. In the mean time I am getting cranky on top of it.

She is barely 3 months old so not going to be able to cio and she just screams if I put her in the pnp. help please!!!

Would white noise help? I have a 6mo old who will only fall asleep for me if the vacuum is running. Today, I tried an electric pencil sharpener and it worked well, too. Go figure!

I use a dark and cool room, lavender scent and white noise (I have a recording of a hair dryer, the sound of a stream or lullabyes that I choose from). I have a small house and sometimes it can be a challenge for a really light sleeper.

She has been here about 3 weeks 3days per week and this is actually the firet time she has had sleep issues. I was too cranky i guess to think of that earlier. Usually she will fall asleep even with dd running around and i can normally get her into her pnp just fine and she will.sleep.someyimes ahour so not sure what was going on today. She looks like she is breaking a tooth thouh on the side of her mouth. So maybe that has something to do with it? Her tongue was also going all over today and yhe bottle kept popping out of her mouth(she is bf but takes bottles here and with dcd at home). So idk. Hopefully it was just teething.

Its been a long day infant dcb this morning had a cold so he was super cranky and right when he left dcg girl got dropped off so it was just a long tiring day, kwim? I usually gave a lullaby playing in the sleep room, i will try the nature sounds with her. Maybe i can also ask.dcm for some suggestions on what she does at home....
        Thanks everyone

I just wear them at that age (why I do not take more than one infant under 8 months.) Later, as they become accustomed to more noise, they usually sleep better.

It used to be easier, as you could swaddle the little ones, but pretty sure that is against the rules in most,if not all states. When they are that small, and you try to put them down, they can easily startle...and you are done.
