Best pack n play? Looking for one that the mattress does not bunch - if it exists... my licensor doesn't like my Graco ones, but couldn't make any suggestions. Or should I just go with folding cribs. I really don't want to have to store these though...

But sheesh!! Just now while trying to find a link to the one I have I come across the link that says they are now recalled...
Apparently this is just the way my week is going.
It says it is recalled due to the swinging bassinet part but I don't use that part anyways but I am sure we still can't have it in use so I will now be looking for a new PNP too..... (Sigh)Last edited by Blackcat31; 10-12-2014, 07:58 AM.- Flag

I have the Graco ones too that bunch up. I had asked my licensor about it and she said they all do it
When my son was little I had this:
I didn't like it at the time because it didn't fold down as compactly as the others, now I wished I had kept it.- Flag

I had that.pnp blackcat. Only the early additions were recalled. When i biught mine they had fixed the issue. Ie the bassinet locked. But i just scored a used graco tvl light and love it! It is half the size of a reg pnp and i didnt notoce any bunching- Flag

I have a great Graco one from when my son was born (6 years ago) that DOESN'T bunch up. It has fabric in the corners so the mattress goes under it and stays put.
I just bought a new pnp last week and seeing how expensive they were I went with a cheaper one ($70) and OMG, it is garbage!!!! The bottom feels so soft and flimsy - like the poor kid is laying right on the bars underneath it. I am tempted to return it but I'm afraid they are all like that now (ordered online so want to get to a store and check them out). I hate spending $100+ on a pnp though when I don't use all the fancy stuff that makes it that expensive!!!
This is what I'm talking about with the fabric. Its tightly pulled fabric down the corners of the pnp and then you kind of have to push the mattress under the corners and they stay great. Its so hard to tell in pics which are made like this because they always show them in bassinet mode. The Graco one I just bought doesn't have it, my old one does.

Actually, the one that bunches the most is the one with the corners like that last picture. The only one that does not bunch is my travellite, maybe I should stick with those. I do love the smaller size.MnMum married to DH 9 years

I never tried the travel lite but have been looking at them - was afraid maybe they are too small. I keep kids in them till about 24 months - would it be too small for a 2 year old??- Flag

The weight and height limit might be the problem. In my experience, those little ones like to sleep curled up anyway, and I find them in a corner of the bigger pack n plays. I have one 20 mo old right now that would be fine in the travel lite, and one that wouldn't.MnMum married to DH 9 years
