    Mom brings prunes!

baby having trouble making BMs. I can see giving him prunes, but how about you do it at home and not make it my problem. LOL.

guess what time he will be getting it? Yep, 4:30 and he gets picked up at 5.happyface

Maybe he has been is getting them at home and it's not doing enough, that's why she feels the need to get some in him throughout the day?

My daughter was chronically constipated as a toddler and I had her eating fiber rich foods and taking Miralax (used to be prescription then) all day long. She never once had a loose stool despite my efforts. Softened them up yes, but nothing ridiculous.

Rest assured, just because you give them to him during the day doesn't mean he'll have explosive bowel movements immediately after. Odds are they will only make a small amount of difference. Constipation can be excruciating. If you're not willing to give them to him as him mom asked I'd be honest with her so if it's something he's really struggling with she can figure something else out before he ends up in a lot of pain.....or worse.

My DD simply loved the baby food prunes. She was never constipated, she just liked them.

Never had yucky poo as a result, either.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I shouldve gIven more background Info.
Baby isn't very constipated, just a lIttle trouble the past day. And no she isn't giving it at home. He is also very sensitive to them.
I can defInItely see the concern in a true constipation situation. I agree entirely, as I suffer from it myself.

This made me laugh! I wish I had a dime for every time a dcp brought their baby in on Monday morning saying, "He hasn't pooped all weekend. I just gave him some prunes this morning before we came. I hope he'll go for you!" Yeah, I'm sure you do!
