    Menus

    Hey everyone,
I am starting my daycare and trying to get everything together. I have a few questions though. How do you guys figure out your breakfast, snacks, ad lunch? Also how do you keep track of the child and their info like their scheduals of when they will be there and alll that?

    Thanks a bunch

Daycare Center and Family Home owners, Directors, Operators and Assistants should post and ask questions here.

My parents submit written schedules for the upcoming week(s) with payments. I keep track using MMK software.

I ood program so I have to post a menu weekly and I try to plan monthly so I can utilize freezing items in multiples etc.

Breakfast,(which is now my am snack) honestly I serve cereal (Organic o's) bananas and milk every day unless I get ambitious. I will throw in bagel with pb if they ask. Some days they get oatmeal or cream of wheat. I may make waffles every other week as a treat or muffins. I have little ones and they like knowing cereal and banana and eat much better knowing!

Lunch- you can view daily on my FB page.. www.facebook.com/MrsSteinelsHouse
Food program requires meat or meat substitute (protein- beans, cheese etc) one grain, 2 servings of vegies/ fruit. liquid milk

afternoon snack is now dinner same requirements as lunch but I generally do cheese, yougurt, humus, pb etc crackers or bread (sometimes pasta) a lot of raw vegies and a fruit.

My kidlets schedules change week to week so I have on a calendar
      A- 7-5:15
      B 8:30-5:30
      C,D- 7:15-4:30
      J 6:30-6:30
on each day the hours. Then I have their sign in out sheets also for later reference with I tally out total meals served on for tax purposes.

also on that calendar I note other time things like 5:30-6:30 vacuumed playroom and mopped kitchen. 6:30-7:15 straightened playroom
Weekend 1 hr menu planning 3 hours cooking and prepping food etc so that I have a total hours on the calendar for the month.
