Would You Hand Back Coats/Have Them Change To Shorts

OK-last week and this week temps in the 90's to 100s. Mornings are fall cool but nothing extreme. Possibly a light sweater if even that.

I have had kids arriving in sweats/jeans/pants and heavy winter coats! Now, when we are done playing hard and getting dirty we change into new clothes. Well because all the shorts have run out, all thats left in the cubbies are winter clothes from last week. A few have shorts but those seem to be the ones that are bringing the heavy winter coats. So most of these kids are arriving and going home in warm clothing in hot heat.

So would you just hand the big coats back to the parents upon arrival and if the kids have short in their cubbies ask them to wait so the kids can change. By 8:00 its in the 60's!

Ugh I have the opposite problem! I have been reminding parents at pick up the night before to PLEASE BRING IN WARMER CLOTHES. It's in the 60's (high) here already and shorts and tank tops aren't cutting it when we go outside at 9 and it's upper 40's low 50's! I have even made one Mom drive home to grab a sweatshirt and pants after repeatedly reminding her about the clothing issue.
