    Well That's A New One

My school age dck (and only kid right now) has a new reason every day for why we can't go outside. Todays was:

"I'm to pretty to go play in the sun"

That was one of the biggest reasons I stopped taking school age kids.....the older they got, the less they wanted to play outside

They should still get an "A+" for creative effort though!

If by pretty she meant sassy then I agree, she is too sassy to play in the sun so find her a nice shady spot to sit and think about her gorgeous features while watching the other kids frolic.

LOL! I have one of those...she also uses - My shoes are too fancy, my mom doesn't want me to ruin my new outfit, these pants are too hot for playing, it is too windy outside and my absolute favorite is that she needs to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes while she is outside.
I told mom I wanted outside play clothes and shoes. I make her change as soon as she walks into the house now.

I don't get kids today. I lived outside as a child....then again the only nice things I had to wear were for dinner parties and church. We wore jogging pants with matching sweatshirts to school everyday.::
