Need Advice - New Sibling Start Date

I have a current day care family that is expecting a new baby tomorrow. Mom is then taking off for 12 weeks.
When she originally told me she was pregnant, she said the new baby would start right before or after Christmas break ( I close the week of Christmas for vaca every year).

I do NOT want to start a new baby the week or 2 before Christmas, but that is what it is looking like. The week before Christmas we do lots of extra activities and with the holidays, I really want to wait to start them until I get done with vacation.

I like this family, but do not want to start a new infant at that time. Any advice on how to approach this or what to say??

just be honest with the DCM and tell her that it would be better for your schedule if you were to wait until after all of the holiday chaos to start the baby.

I would let her know asap, this way it's not going to be hard for her to make any adjustments to her schedule.
