It Isn't Cute To Me...

I have my two girls in care plus 4 other pre-schoolers. I of course find the silly things my girls do very cute but often do not find what one of my pre-school girls does cute at all. I feel bad but she is whiny, and follows all the kids around like a lost puppy dog copying EVERYTHING they do. Her Mom thinks everything she does is adorable...as a Mom I know the feeling but I don't see it with this child ever. Why can't I see her actions as cute and not just annoying? I have had her with me full time 18 months. She doesn't mis-behave. I give her cuddles, love and attention but deep down I am rolling my eyes at her all day. I feel so bad. :confused:

This is tough. We are not going to bond with every child in our care, and some we like better than others. Obviously as a professional we try not to show favortisim. If you think you can continue to care for her, then do so. If you find that you're feelings of annoyance outweight your ability to mask it, then it might be kinder to let her go.
