Background: New dcb (18 months). Has been with Great-Grandma since birth. Mom is very young, and they all live at GGMA's.
GGMA needs a break, so they thought they'd introduce him to daycare. They are very nervous about this, but the ladies at the salon recommended me "highly".
Last week, they wanted to start with half days, and they only wanted 2 days a week so that GGMA gets that break.
yeah....
DCB naturally cries quite bit, I'm ok with that, and each time he comes it's been less (this is day 4). However, I learned that he goes to sleep being rocked AND with a bottle.
not going to work here, I said. But how on earth can I sleep train an 18 mo whose only here 2 days a week and can climb out of a playpen?
So I asked GGMA today. "Hey, how about instead of 2 full days, we do 3 half days? Then neither dcb or I have to go through the nap ordeal, and you still get your break".
YES! I am so happy she said yes! Because I honestly thought I'd probably have to term him this week. I like the family, and this way, it looks like I can keep them. happyface
