    Outdoor Plans For This Year

Does anyone plan specifically for outdoor play? I don't have teacher led activities, I just let the kids go on their own but here are some things I want to do beginning next week. I'm so excited-happyface

I'm filling my water table up-minus the water with shaving cream! I so can't wait to do this.

Then I'm scouring around our garage/shed this weekend for old paintbrushes. They will join the family of sponges that visited the water table yesterday/this morning. The kids absolutely love those things.

Start saving old dish detergent bottles. Threw one in the the water table with just a smidge of detergent left in it. They went wild with that thing.

Made my chalkboard wall on my shed. Fixed up a little table to hold the chalk in a basket. Looks so cute-now they can play with it.

Going to do story time outside I think when we head out from preschool.

Looking for more tin/aluminum dishes, cups, plates for our outdoor kitchen.

Still need to get the base for my dirt table. Thinking of hiring my nephew to do it so I can get it done.

I'm sure I will come up with a thousand more things. At least I have a start!

this spring and summer we did lots I just have not made fall and winter plans. Our favorite is the 2 picnic tables I put in the shade under the deck they love to color there. I think it would be a great place for messy things this fall. We grew sunflowers and potatoes

I think I am going to make a collection of small pvc pipe pieces and have the fitting attached to one end then they can build with them. I still want to make a mud kidchen except I will not call it that I really do not want them digging my flowers up to make mud.
    It:: will wait

OK, add the pcv pipe and fittings to my list!

I so, so wish I had this forum when my kids were little! I did alot of cool things but if I had done all this kind of stuff or knew of it well that would have been awesome.

I made the kiddie car wash from pvc and have a ton of small pieces and bought fittings. Instant outdoor legos!

I banned chalk, I have a dcg who EATS it. I miss it because I have a large concrete patio.

I was going to get some rakes this weekend because the leaves are falling like crazy and only one rake survived from last fall.

They are going to love the shaving cream, we have shaving cream fights regularly, it's a blast!

I got my ds a bunch of PVC parts when he was little and some funnels. He used them as water works. Loved it! And he learned a lot of science too!
I think they are still out in the shed...
I bought 3 big balls a couple of weeks ago on clearance. They have been having a blast with them on the patio. I want to move my sandbox down to the patio area. I have a lot of little ones so the patio is an easier space than my backyard right now.
I did pull some flowers that were looking a little sad out of their planter so I can get some mums this weekend. I would like an outside easel or chalkboard so that I wouldn't have to take mine in and out.
Ok now you have me thinking...

When I prune dead flowers I put them in a basket so the kids can use them for "cooking" at the outdoor kitchen set. They can cook for hours with them.

I so can't wait for 6:00. Going to Lowes to buy paint and just walk the aisles looking for ideas!
