    Grandparents Day

Anyone doing any crafts for Grandparents Day? I was thinking of a flower consisting of hand prints as the petals and foot prints as the leaves and maybe cut out the middle of the flower and put a picture of the child.

My gang is doing this craft for Grandparents Day. My parents LOVE that we do a special craft for Grandma's and Grandpa's. I just ask how many copies each child will need and do that many handprints for each individual child happyface

Do you laminate these? I like the poem...very sweet.

Also, what kind of paper is best for the hand print...do you think printer paper or construction paper is best or a more heavier paper?

I haven't decided if I'm going to just laminate them, or go tothe dollar store a get real frames.

And I used cardstock for the paper.

I combined some of the ideas I saw, the heart shape using fingers, the poem, a child's hand print and photo copying instead of paint. I just wish I would have thought of this earlier because they turned out so awesome I would have loved to frame them!
