2 week desposit verses registration fee

After having a family dissapear without notice I started requiring a two week deposit that goes to the last two weeks of care. I also require payment for each week first thing Monday. For many dcf this means 3 weeks of tuition upfront. But I do allow families to divide their deposit into 2-4 equal payments.
Im considering now doing a registration fee that comes off the first week of care.
Any thoughts?
