I Don't Know How You Do It

Honestly, I don't know how you guys do it for many years. The constant crying, bickering and hitting is just some days all I can take from the toddlers. I try to keep them busy, take them for walks, and play outside but it seems even if I have an activity, they just fight over that. I have some new kids that just whine a lot. It seriously drives me crazy. "I dont want the cup with the purple lidd""I don't want to eat that for lunch". Ugh. I just ignore the behavior and they get over it and start eating or whatnot. I am so glad for naptime, or I wouldn't know how I would be able to handle this. I graduate school in 9 months so I will be ending daycare then. I just want to say when I bring my own to daycare, I will certainly appreciate them!

Yes, it can be rough some days but I guess no matter how you slice it, closing time comes every day! LOL!! ::

It can be chaotic sometimes but so far, I feel like I get enough fun times and positive behaviors that it somehow balances out all the other stuff.

Its not for everybody, so dont feel bad if you go a different direction.

and even those that have done this for many years, have rules about how many babies or toddlers they will take at a time so perhaps you just have too many young ones right now.

I only take one under 12 months at a time, two one year olds at a time so I end up with 3 under 2.....or less, if I can get it to work out that way. Right now I have a 5 month old, a 15 month old and an almost 2 year old. Thats my max for young ones! the bigger kids are a lot easier to take care of but even they have their bad days. sometimes I am hanging on for dear life till nap time

I totally agree with the above posts. It definitely isn't for everyone. I am going into my second year of doing daycare and I have often thought about whether I will continue when I have the option to quit. Honestly, what I am missing the most is my personal time with my own kids and missing out on their special school events that go on during school hours. If I give it up it will be for my OWN kids.

Hang in there....like Blackcat said there IS an end to each day.

Thank goodness for nap time and quitting time
Some days are harder than others. It completely depends on the dynamics of the group too. If my 3DD is not here my day is bliss go figure!
