    I Made The Call!

I'm so relieved & proud of myself! I called my teacher mom to let her know she would need to look for new care in the fall, at least for her school-agers. My husband & I talked about it & decided I could probably handle their toddler since I already have my own toddler at home & only one other toddler (so I would only have 3 kids ages 2-3). But I would not have room for her two school-agers. Mom took it pretty well although I think she was surprised. Not sure. She did say she would think about it. I told her I totally understood either way if she wanted to send him here or not. My guess is likely no, why would you want your kids at 2 different places? It would likely not be convenient. Her toddler is the easiest of the three kids so he would not be a problem. So relieved!

Good for you. I know that in the past when I had a very difficult client or an impossible child, I would stress out so much about terminating them. But once I bit the bullet and terminated them, my nerves calmed down, I was happier and more relaxed, and all the remaining children seemed so much more at ease. It always felt like a dark cloud had been lifted and the sun was shining down on us again. It's so weird how 1 difficult person can affect the entire business. Children are perceptive, so I think they know when we are stressed, no matter how much we try to shield them.

I am so glad you got it over with...those talks are never easy...but now it's out in the air and you can put it behind you and feel a ton less stressed.
