Price High And Not Make Sense

Just saw this ad and thought it was a little spendy and confusing.

    Preschoolers (3-5 years)
    Part Time (8:30am-12:30pm)
    $18.75/Morning

    Full Time
    $25.00/Day

Some afternoon care available at $5/hr or $20/afternoon (more than 4 hrs)

The preschool portion seems high to me-$375 for the month!

The last line doesn't make sense. Either there is care available or not.

I charge $25 for three hours of preschool.

Preschool schedules are usually 2 or 3 days per week rather than 5.

Most preschools here are 3,4,5 day schedules. One here charges $100 a month for two days a week and is considered high.

I charge $175 a month for a 5 day program and some people have thought that was to high and opted for a less day program.

It must be all about location. I am easily able to charge the $25 per day....although I don't have many spaces available for it, it's nice to bring in a prek when the school age kids are gone for the day. Unfortunately for some providers, education of the teacher has alot to do with it too....I beleive experience and personal research of ECE can be a HUGE indicator of a quality teacher, however most parents do not

$25 dollars a day is even stretching it here for childcare. I always want to show my parents what different providers on here get for childcare but once again it wouldn't really make them differently as it about the location.

We have a city north of us that providers charge easily $50 a day. When I have mentioned something to people they always comment and say "but thats such and such city". I heard of a provider in our area that is charging $2.00 an hour, she's full and people love her. So when I hear things like this I start second guessing what I charge.

I just read on their website that they do no drop in care.

So I'm thinking someone probably typed and didn't double check what they wrote. I would have included a link to their website if I was the person doing the ad.

With free VPK, other centers around here charge about $120-150 a week for preschool age kids . I don't do free VPK, so I charge $175 a week for that age. Yikes, seems expensive here in comparison to some areas.

Voluntary Pre Kindergarten. The state pays about $60 a week to providers, for 3 hours per say for school readiness activities.

VPK may just be a Florida pre-school program!? It provides 3 hours a day (during normal school days/hours) to children the year before they enter Kindergarten. And it's FREE!
