Op how is your health other than the bruises from the fall.
I ask because my hubby almost always dreams about spiders when he gets a feaver, and when he takes certain meds.- Flag

Hope you feel better! I've done similar thing in that "just waking up" stage.
Thought a lion was eating me alive starting with my feet-turned out to be my cat biting my toes.
Thought I was trapped under water-my blue comforter was over my face. Ended with a broken mirror because I was flailing so much trying to "swim" to the surface.
Thought I was being stabbed-broken bed spring. Screamed so loudly that my next door neighbor called the police. That was embarrasing.- Flag

It could've been a lot worse. My DH was actually bitten in the foot the day before yesterday by a spider and now his foot is all big and swollen. He went to the ER yesterday just to make sure he would be ok and was given antibiotics to take. Must have been one nasty spider ... his toes looked like little red breakfast sausagesAt least you weren't bit.

Just my ignorance but how does an antibiotic work for a spider bite? It's not an infection it's a venom, isn't it?:confused:I see little people.- Flag

They may give antibiotics if they suspect brown recluse spider bite.
Hopefully it was just an allergic reaction (which can be very serious if not treated) and not the former.- Flag

Thanks. And yes they are working. ER Dr. said it looked like a brown recluse by the way that the foot got swollen the way it did. Apparently my DH got lucky that it was his foot and not somewhere else, which actually slowed the bite venom. He's had to take it easy and keep hiis foot raised and may go back to the hospital tomorrow just to make sure it's still ok. Apparently the skin eating part that comes along with recluse bites isn't caused by the spider bite venom itself but comes from when your body fights the venom. This causes a bacteria to form which causes the flesh eating. My DH caught it in time and immediately started taking the antibiotic to deter the bacteria from forming so he should be good. Just has the swelling, pain and itching from the spider bite still.

They are looking to come in now that the summer weather is cooling down at night. UGH! Freak me out!
Not something I want to wake up and see!
I did a lot of vacuuming and I am pretty sure it is a goner, but I won't empty that bag- hubby knows me and I will make sure to ask him to do it. I would rather change a dirty diaper then deal with a spider.- Flag

: I take it you don't like bats?!
In the United States, the greatest number of bat species live in the southwestern part of the country.
This area has a variety of places where bats can live and there is a lot of food available during most of the year.
Texas has 32 different kinds of bats while Maine has only 8; and Arizona has 28 species, but Michigan has just 10.- Flag

Ugh. I hate spiders too. I though they were the worst creatures on earth until I moved to Texas and learned about SCOPRIONS. First hand thank you! Ahhhh. And today I set up my new play house (used) and there was a baby crawling through the grass!Yuck! I let it walk away, too scared to squish it and those ****ers are STRONG! looks like we will be dusting again this weekend! I've had one too many in the house and with babies coming Monday, I can't afford to have another one inside
