Do DCP Try To Add You To FB?

I've had two DCP try and add me to FB. I've just kind of ignored it. I just think that it is my personal place for family and friends. Thoughts? What is your stance on it?

I have had one try and when they asked about it I told them the truth.

I only keep my facebook curent to spy on my teenagers. I look way more than I post

I let them know nicely that I do not accept dcp's as friends. I like my private life private. I wouldn't want them to see if I had posted something like TGIF! and have them thinking it was because of their child when it is just like everyone else-I look forward to my weekend! I also think they wouldn't want me to misunderstand anything they post. Most have said they totally get it and feel the same. I did have one that had a downright fit about it and wondered what I was hiding. Thankfully, they aren't here anymore!

I am the one that friend requested all my DCfamilies. Now in hindsight that was probably a mistake and I don't do it anymore, but I don't want to UNfriend the ones I already have and then them think I'm mad at them or something.

Honestly, I did it because I wanted to be nosey and I wanted to catch them if they ever accidentally posted something about I hate my "babysitter" type thing, but now I just upset myself needlessly. I'm sure they're mad at me about something from time to time, I don't need to put myself through the torture of KNOWING that they stayed home and slept all day while I watched their kid. KWIM?!

I've never been asked to friend a current daycare parent. I think if anyone asked, I would say no.

I did exactly what you did Creek. I ignore the friend requests from my DC families. My personal FB is set to private so I use the excuse that I rarely log into my personal account. Then I refer them to my DC Facebook page instead.
