    I wish you the best.

Another idea is to make a deal with a Taxi company and explain you would like a weekly rate for before and after "school" tee hee, could not resist that. Worth a try.

Sorry Hunni Bee that you are dealing with a yucky boss!

One more thing to know you ARE doing the right thing and not planning on staying where you are!

so sorry that you are dealing with a person like this....But on the bright side, you can look at it like this.....EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON...

Your life is telling you it's time for change and happiness....follow it.......

You may have some obstacles to overcome (walking) but I am sure you can find a way to make it work. If it's meant to be (which it sounds like it it) then everything will find a way to work itself out..

        best of luck to you

Thanks, my friends, for your encouragement. It really helps.

So what would be a good, neutral resignation letter?

            I would write one.

I would show her that you are still professional (or the bigger person )

so was today your actual last day? why do you need a resignation letter when you were already told to turn in your keys?

                Noooo *sigh*

Its such a circus. I brought the keys, to give to her...and I didn't see her all day. She left a couple minutes after I got to work. Never does that.

This is all a big game to her. I've seen her do it other people. She strips of their job titles, their hours, authority, etc...until they just quit. She never actually fires them, so she won't have to pay unemployment.

I'm going to give notice Tuesday, after I go to the observation for the other job.

ohh! well shoot, thats annoying. I hope this new job is wonderful and you finally get the dream job you have been waiting for. At least now you have even more confirmation that moving on is the best choice. I dont have ideas on a letter other than to keep it short with a clear statement regarding your last day there. make sure that meshes with the dates provided by your new job.

Sorry that you are having to deal with someone who is clearly being unprofessional. It sounds like you will be much better off at the new place.

My job was like that too. They would keep giving you less and less hours, stop talking to you, not accept your time off requests, and send you as the filler to other places. They just wanted people to quit. If you did end up quitting, they usually just asked for your stuff and let you go immediately instead of finishing out your 2 weeks. I unfortunately was not one that they said to go. I stayed the duration of my notice and it was HORRIBLE. If I knew I would've still gotten paid for what I did put in, I would have left immediately. My boss said not one word to me from the time I gave him my notice until the time I handed in my key, then he said, "well, I guess good luck."

Anyway, glad to see it's all working out!
