OT-Went to the doctor and he said WHAT!!

Went in yesterday for my ankle injury that I did 3 weeks ago. I'm in a lovely air splint and I think I will be bedazzling it or something! White is just not the color for my leg.:: Doctor said if its still bothering to come back in a month and we may have to do something different. I'm thinking an MRI.

Anyway blood pressure was up which I was not happy about because its always low and at a healthy number. No meds now but creeping closer to that-.

Then my weight! I have gained 4lbs. since this injury an average of of 2lbs a week. Since the beginning of July I've gained 10 lbs! Seriously, very depressing. Even if my weighing wasn't correct then I definetly gained 10lbs since March as the doctor looked at what my weight was then. He said to cut calories which I get and I may look into talking to a nutritionist.

I have gained 30 lbs in 2 years and I'm so tired of this. I've got to find a way to work this weight off or stop gaining. My body isn't great with seditary lifestyle that childcare gives one. I'm hopping busy but not enough to burn the calories off it seems.

Anyway, off to take some headache medicine. Didn't sleep well and woke up with a headache!

Sorry to hear, dear. I have always been a bigger gal (ok, a MUCH bigger gal ), but I too find that since I've started childcare, my weight has only become higher each passing year. I realized, however, a few months back that I was using my career choice as an excuse to maintain my weight and even GAIN...
Just because I'm home all day doesn't mean I can snack all day. I often say I don't have time to sit down and have a true, nutritional meal because as you know, we're constantly busy... but I've made an effort to start sitting with the kiddos during meal times and eating what I serve them (healthy foods) - the dishes and clean-up can wait a little longer. Also, I started working out during nap time. It not only gives me the time and quiet to get it done, but it also gives me a boost that I desperately need mid-afternoon. I also drink LOTS of water throughout the day. I also try to take the kids on a neighborhood walk at least 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes before we head to the park... every little bit helps.
Just a few tips that have helped me lose a few pounds the passed couple of months...

Just to find out I'm pregnant. LOL.

Congratulations! How exciting to hear about the little one.

Every morning I try to walk the kids about .25 of a mile and then be outside doing things with them. I've always taken the kids on walks and such in the 16 years of done this.

This summer I actually added walking at night and in the last month added the eating better drinking water to only keep gaining. I already had my thyroid checked for some other issues and nothing was found. So I was walking about 1 mile or more a day this summer.

I had to cut out walking the last two weeks because of the ankle injury but seriously to gain 4 lbs seemed like alot in two weeks and 10 in a month.
