    Admit it we're spammers jk

Just collecting different people ways of marketing themselves for fun. Also, just received a call from USDirectory saying my business can get easily found on google, yahoo, bing, and etc if I pay them 5 bucks a month and .25 cent for every potential client that calls...Wondering if I should do it...she say it won't cost any more than 5 bucks each day if potential clients does call, but I don't know. Any of you used that?

I get my clients from word of mouth. I do advertise in other ways but word of mouth has been the most successful in the last few years.

Here is a poll/thread about advertising and the methods others use

I've never used those directories, but I woudn't put much stock in it. You can get the similar results by adding your business to google maps. Just make sure you have your keywords in there such as MYCITY CHILD CARE or mycity daycare or something like that in the description. It might sound cheap now, but some of those companies can get expensive quick. And $5 a day is $150/mnth just for advertising! Yikes

Personally, I don't think parents think of the directory or the phone book as the first place to look for daycares...kwim?

I have a dcm that told me a while back that she wasn't sure she had ever saw a phone book before....I was like  but then it occured to me that she was young and everything that is needed now days is found at the tip (or should I say touch) of their fingers with modern technology.

Printed phone books will probably become non-existent in our life time.
