    CDA renewal question

    I have a question geared towards CDA renewal for Family Childcare Providers but anyone can really answer and help me out.

    I'm in the process of gather my materials to new renewal my CDA. One of the this is documentation of hours working with child in a letterhead format by your supervisor. What do you do in the case where you are your own boss? Who writes the letter?

    thanks

    I am doing the same I was told to have my parents write a letter or write one yourself. Something along the lines of your name.... have provided care for my child 50 hours a week for the past year... then have each one sign it.

    I am working on mine also. I failed to renew years ago so when they came out with the amnesty program I jumped on it. The funny thing is I only can do that because of that anthrax years ago slowed mine down by a month. I only qualify for amnesty by a week.

    I am doing Care courses. If that was an option years ago I would have renewed on time.
    It:: will wait

      My program evaluator for state of Tennessee wrote my letter verifying I had worked the appropriate amount of hours in child care.

        When I renewed mine several years ago, I was told by the CDA council that my licensor could write it for me. She can verify that you are working with kids and what your licesened hours are which is proof of how many hours you put in. HTH

        If you are unsure, you can call (or e-mail) the CDA council and the reps will advise you. That is how I got my answer.
