    first 3 interviews-long...sorry

I had three different interviews this past week.

The first one I was so nervous and sweating buckets!!! Parents had a lot of questions. Normal questions not too pushy or...attacking type questions. I made the mistake of telling them only one week of tuition is due to hold their spot but in my handbook it states its 2 weeks. but its okay. I held to my word and I just have to note their file so when they leave they owe me for 1 week because the security deposit paid for only one week not two. Family is very nice, we had a lot of the same values and they REALLY liked that I am big with taking the kiddos outside either in the yard or for a walk. Little girl is 15 mos. Quiet, shy but opens up once she gets comfortable. No previous daycare. 3 days a week until October then she will be full time.

Interview two: Mother came with her little girl. Just a few questions, went over my hand book and basic policies. Talked about curriculum and what I currently do for a living and why I wanted to open a daycare. Little girl was a TRIP!!! Big time lover! Just wants to hug everyone. Gets SUPER excited and screams! I have a feeling I am going to say "walking feet" a lot with this one. Also "gentle hugs" will be a big part of my vocab. Full time.

Third interview: A few questions, very short interview. New born. Preemie. Ittie bittie little guy with lots of dark thick hair. Doesn't start until September. Just two days a week. Mother is a nurse, her days alternate between mon/wed and wed/fri He is only 2 weeks old so not sure about temperament, but mom said she is NOT a co sleeper.

SO HAPPY! I have been so nervous and panicky about quitting my full time job and not being able to find any families. Finally has come together....
    wooo hooooo!!

So If I can find one more family for tues/thurs I will be within my legal limits with no license.
I am still waiting on my rep...called her again for the 6th time since the end of June and left yet another VM...
Hopefully she gets it together and submits my stuff to the fire marshal so they can do their inspection...

I think that is a promising start! hope things work out well. make sure to ask about possible medical issues with the preemie. They normally take more work than a regular infant and I personally dont take preemies because they are very fragile, sometimes have eating issues, digestive or breathing issues, fragile immune systems. I had one mom want to start her preemie but he was still on an angelcare monitor meaning a special blanket that alerts you if he stops breathing.....that was a little too much care needed for the time and resources I can offer.
