I'm in southwest Ohio & I charge $125/wk for full time no matter the age. I consider full time to be anything over 30 hours/wk. I do give a discount for siblings, so I charge $200/wk for 2 full time kids. They pay me each Friday for the week in advance, and they pay every week no matter what...unless I have requested a personal day off, there is no charge for that. They pay me when they're on vacation & they pay me 50% of the weekly rate to hold their spot during a maternity leave.
Anything under 30 hours/wk is part time & that rate is $5 an hour per child.
I do the food program as well, so I provide the snacks, meals, milk, baby food, etc.
I originally started out almost 9 years ago charging $100/wk for full time. I've only raised my rates twice in all that time. The 1st time when I raised rates to $110/wk no one said anything, but the last time when I raised them to $125/wk, I had one parent who wasn't very happy. They stayed & continued to pay though, so I don't know why they thought it was a problem.
I just became certified with the county & the rates I'll get paid through them are WAY higher than what I charge private pay families. I was surprised by that. I had no idea what the going rates were for county providers.
