    Lemonade Stand

My DD (age 7) has been trying to save some money from chores & such this summer to buy an expensive Lego set she wants. It's been a great experience, she is learning that you have to work hard to earn money, learning to save & not to spend it once it hits her pocket, and she is getting really good at counting it! LOL

She wants to do a lemonade stand to raise more money this week, which I agreed to. We have everything all ready to do it this morning, but I'm wondering how to do this with the daycare kids. Should I split the money among all of the kids who choose to help? I have one set of siblings today; one is a preschooler & another a toddler. The toddler will not be interested in helping; so if I choose to only split the money with the helpers he will not get any but sissy will. Or should I split the money among ALL the kids (even the toddlers)? WWYD?

The toddlers neither know nor care about money...?

I say let your daughter keep all the earnings and pay the preschooler in the currency of a popsicle or a short show at naptime or something like that. Even though the preschooler might have a beginning understanding of money and currency, they are too young to really pay; the money will just be lost.

Mostly I think you're overthinking it.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

happyface I'm so glad she's getting closer to her goal! Loved the picture, it is super cute.

I think a reward of a popsicle (or a pudding pop like you made before) would be the best treat of all for the little ones.
