Suggestions Please on Activity Idea

My back to school theme is going to be an adventure/explorer theme

I am having the DCK's make binoculars out of toilet paper rolls and yarn to keep them around their necks.

This is where I need help:

I can't decide whether to paint them, glue tissue paper around them, or use black duct tape....

They will be keeping them here for the duration of the theme.

Any thoughts?? Thanks!

I vote for black duct tape...it sounds like the sturdiest!

Duct tape for durability...maybe offer different colors so they can remember whose is whose if they take them off? I'll take some pink camo please! Thanks!
